Funding in the form of travel grants will be available to invited speakers, i. e keynote speakers, presenters of contributed student and early career scientist talks (about 40) and other persons explicitly invited by the Scientific Committee: Invited poster presenters are offered free acccommodation in shared double rooms, meals (including conference banquet) and excursions the other conference activities. Invited speakers will be offered free meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee breaks), lodging (single rooms for keynote speakers and double rooms for presenters of contributed talks), conference material, participation in excursions. Travel grants will also be allocated to invited speakerss. Refunds will be given (to a certain maximum amount, see table below) for airline tickets (economy class), railway tickets (second class) and other means of transportation (equivalent ferry tickets). For private car travels, fuel will be reimbursed. The following max refunds apply for travels to the conference.
No refunds will be given for taxi and limousine services from or to the airport. Invited poster presenters will get free accommodation in shared double rooms, meals (including conference banquet) participation in excursions and other activities, but will have to organise funding for teir travel alone. There wil be some exceptions for poster presentes from countries in which such funding is difficult to obtain - those will be contacteds by the organisational committee. Please note that Young Kim will be out of office between 23 April and May 3rd, therefore it’s best to contact him before that time.In case you need a hotel to stay at Arlanda Airport on the last day (on arrival day flights from the US should arrive in the morning, so you can continue to Tällberg on the same day) I recommend Arlanda Hotellby (www.arlandahotellby.se, 1 night for USD 100,-, with free shuttle to and from the airport). Other alternatives are Rest and Fly (USD 100,-directly at the airport, http://www.restandfly.com/, quite OK) or Jumbo Hostel (www.jumbohostel.se, dorm room in disused aircraft). The train trip from Arlanda to Tällberg costs USD 30,- to USD 40,-. Tickets can be ordered on-line via www.sj.se. On the way back from Arlanda to Stockholm the participants can take our free shuttle bus.
